Honest FAQ

Can it see items hidden behind others, or inside cartons and freezers?

No — and we won't pretend otherwise. Shelfie only counts what's visible in the photos. It's a vision-assisted counter with human confirmation, not a magic inventory scanner. Occluded stock needs a manual "not visible but present" note, which every count row supports.

What if the attendant just lies during confirmation?

Every row stores both the AI's count and the attendant's confirmed count. If someone systematically corrects counts downward, that pattern itself shows up as a flag on the owner's reports — the audit trail is the point.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Scans are captured and queued on the device, then uploaded automatically once you're back online — nothing is lost.

What happens to the video/photos after a scan?

Raw media is kept for 60 days as evidence, then deleted. The extracted count data is kept forever.
